The General Assembly of LDT CitiVERSE EDIC approved the organisation’s Gender Equality Plan (GEP) on 7 October 2026 in Dublin, reinforcing its commitment to equal opportunities, diversity and an inclusive working environment.

The Gender Equality Plan establishes a framework for integrating gender equality principles into the EDIC’s governance, operations and collaborative activities. It aims to ensure fair treatment, balanced representation and a respectful, non-discriminatory environment for everyone involved in the organisation.

Turning commitment into action

The plan sets out practical measures across several priority areas, including:

  • Equal opportunities: promoting transparent, merit-based recruitment, contracting and career development.
  • Balanced representation: encouraging gender balance in leadership, governance and decision-making.
  • Work-life balance: supporting flexible working arrangements and respect for personal and caregiving responsibilities.
  • Safe working environments: establishing preventive measures and procedures to address discrimination, gender-based violence and sexual harassment.
  • Inclusive digital innovation: encouraging consideration of diverse population needs and potential bias in technical solutions and guidance developed within the EDIC ecosystem.

Monitoring progress and ensuring accountability

The GEP is designed as a living document, with implementation and monitoring integrated into the EDIC’s regular organisational processes.

Progress will be reviewed annually through indicators covering workforce composition, governance representation and workplace conduct, with aggregated results incorporated into the EDIC’s annual reporting.

By adopting this plan, LDT CitiVERSE EDIC reinforces its commitment to embedding equality and inclusion into both its internal operations and its contribution to European digital innovation.

The Gender Equality Plan is publicly available and will be periodically reviewed and updated as the organisation evolves.
