The initiative “The Networked Local Digital Twins towards the CitiVERSE (LDT CitiVERSE EDIC)” is the European Digital Infrastructure Consortium promoted by the European Commission and headquartered in Valencia. Its goal is to connect existing local digital twins across Europe, forming the foundation of the EU’s CitiVERSE.
A European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (EDIC) is a type of legal structure created under the Digital Decade Policy Programme 2030 to enable EU Member States to pool resources efficiently for the deployment of joint digital infrastructure.
LDT CitiVERSE EDIC marks a turning point in how we conceive and manage our cities. From València, we are leading a European effort to ensure that data, artificial intelligence and technology serve the well-being of people.
